He may not have played a single game in the playoffs but tough guy Kevin Westgarth did contribute to Los Angeles’ eventual success hoisting the Stanley Cup. Westgarth is, for all intents and purposes, on the Kings roster to fight – and that he did.

In 25 regular season games, the 28-year-old amassed 39 penalty minutes, delivered 31 hits and blocked six shots. While Westgarth averaged just 5:25 of ice time per game, he was able to score once and add another assist to go along with a -3 rating.

While I haven’t heard any news regarding his status for the coming season, Kevin Westgarth still has another year left on his contract with the Kings. However, I don’t see him spending less time in the press box in 2012-13 than he did this past season.
