Although some would say the news was inevitable, we can all rest easy as Peter Harrold has found a new home in New Jersey, effectively ending his five-year tenure with the Los Angeles Kings. The Devils signed Harrold to a one-year two-way contract worth $550,000.

A native of Kirtland Hills, Ohio, Harrold began his NHL career with the Kings during the 2006-07 season where he registered two points and eight PIMS in 12 games. During his time in Manchester that season, Harrold registered 34 points in 62 games with the Monarchs.

Harrold's most productive season came in 2008-09 when he picked up a career-high 12 points in 69 games.

Despite his ability to play both forward and defense, the Boston College alum's career in Los Angeles wasn't all that spectacular. In fact, Harrold's time in a Kings uniforn was that of someone who filled in for an injured player.

Hopefully, Peter Harrold's time in New Jersey will be a little more productive. Good luck to him.
