After having spent the last couple of months in Los Angeles since his ankle injury, Anze Kopitar returned to his native Slovenia as he continues to rehab from said ankle injury.

Rich Hammonds of LAKingsInsider.com indicated that, through a translated version of an interview, Kopitar is right on schedule as he intends to get back on the ice in late July or early August.

Shortly upon his arrival back to Slovenia, Kopitar participated in a golf tournament wearing normal golf shoes, which is a great sign, but also some heavy-duty stabilizing tape around his injured right ankle and lower leg as an obvious precaution.

Nonetheless, it's great to see Anze Kopitar on track for a speedy recovery and enjoying himself, in the process. As for as the Los Angeles Kings go, Kopitar's progress is easily the best news of this young summer.
