PHILADELPHIA - With the 90th selection at the 2014 NHL Draft, the Los Angeles selected center Michael Amadio from the OHL's North Bay Battalion.

At 6' 1, 192 pounds, Amado has good size but is most notorious for being one of the most defensively-responsible players in this year's draft. Defensively, he positions himself superbly and is very strong on the back check.

Unfortunately, Amadio's biggest weakness would have to be that he doesn't have much offensive upside. He is slated to be a career third-liner in the NHL but is much better defensively despite being a center and is known for his great penalty-killing skills.

In 64 games last season, the 18-year-old scored 18 goals and added 26 assists en route to helping his Battalion to an appearance in the OHL Final.
