Los Angeles Kings vs. Chicago Blackhawks Preview; Western Final, Game 4
Previewing the Los Angeles Kings’ 2012-13 season: West Final, Game 4 vs. Chicago; June 6/13, 6pm PST (9pm EST)
After getting back into their series with Chicago on Tuesday thanks to a 3-1 win, the Los Angeles Kings prepare to put their 8-0 home playoff record on the line tonight as they attempt to win again, tying their Western Final series with the conference-leading Blackhawks.
After being mostly outplayed in Chicago, the Kings turned the tables when they returned home as in Game 3, they outshot the Blackhawks 28-20 and dominated the majority of the contest with great senses of urgency and fluidity.
Tonight, the Kings hope to take full-advantage of the Blackhawks’ biggest absence in Game 4 as defenseman Duncan Keith has been suspended for one game for high-sticking Jeff Carter midway through Game 3. Los Angeles is well-aware how good their chances with Chicago’s top defenseman out of the lineup in addition to being at home. Of course, nothing is guaranteed as the Kings have to continue to prove that they belong in the thick of things with the Hawks.
After suffering a concussion in Game 1, Mike Richards was skating again yesterday but there has not been any word as of yet whether he will play in Game 4. His status is doubtful so don’t hold your breath.
It’s Game 4 tonight with the Los Angeles Kings given a chance to tie this series and return to Chicago playing a best-of-three. Can the silver-and-black win again and keep their home unbeaten streak intact? We will have to wait and see.
Enjoy the game!
