Previewing the Los Angeles Kings' 2013-14 season:

Game 18 @ Buffalo

November 12, 2013

4pm PST (7pm EST)

In the second time in less than a week, the Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres will square off, this time in the Queen City.

After a 2-0 win at home on Thursday night, the Kings hope to sweep their season series against a Sabres who has yet to win on home ice this season (0-8-1).

Jhonas Enroth got the start in goal versus Los Angeles last week and being that the Sabres’ date with the Kings on Tuesday isn’t on back-to-back nights, expect Ryan Miller to get the start. But nothing’s written in stone so we’ll see.

While the Sabres are coming off two-straight losses, the Kings are on the opposite side of the spectrum coming off wins in their last two outings with their most recent victory coming at home against the Vancouver Canucks in convincing fashion.

En route to their 5-1 win on Saturday, Jonathan Quick was spectacular making 25 saves (with 13 of those stops coming in the first period). Linden Vey, in just his second-career game, generated a beautiful set up for the game’s first goal while Tyler Toffoli made some noise scoring twice and adding an assist. Mike Richards chipped in with a goal and two assists while Anze Kopitar extended his point streak to four games with a helper of his own.

On paper, it’s an easy win for the silver-and-black but, if I said it once, I said it a million times: nothing is ever won on paper.

It’s the start of a four-game northeastern road trip for the Kings and they want nothing more than to start said trip off on a positive note.

We’ll see if they can do it.

Enjoy the game!
