Previewing the Los Angeles Kings' 2011-12 season:

Game 66 @ Nashville

March 6, 2012

5pm PST (8pm EST)

The Los Angeles Kings have won two straight and are now back on the road for a four-game swing beginning in Nashville where they lost to the Predators just seven days ago. This will be the third of four meetings between the two clubs with each team winning a game.

The Predators are going to be tough, however. Not only are they 6-2-2 in their last ten but they are a very impressive 21-7-5 at Bridgestone Arena this season, which the Kings know all too well but hope to change tomorrow night as they look for a way to outfox a team as defensively-sound as Nashville.

Jeff Carter had a strong outing last game as he scored his first two in a Kings uniform on Saturday night vs. Anaheim. Captain Dustin Brown is even on a hot streak as, since trade rumours surfaced about him, went straight from the outhouse to the penthouse, so to speak.

With Dallas’ win in Calgary last night, the Kings are now three points behind the Stars but only one point behind the San Jose Sharks for 8th in the West. So, a win tonight could vault the Kings back into the playoffs.

Jonathan Quick would likely get the start but given Jonathan Bernier’s success against the Preds in recent memory, Darryl Sutter may be inclined to start #45 instead. After all, although it was no fault of Quick’s, he did start last game in Nashville and the Kings lost. Maybe a different netminder will change that.

The action starts tomorrow night at 5pm PST (8pm EST) with the Kings looking to continue their winning ways against a very tough Predators squad.

Enjoy the game!
