Previewing the Los Angeles Kings' 2011-12 season:

Game 75 vs. Boston

March 24, 2012

1pm PST (4pm EST)

They are riding a season-high six-game winning streak and after topping the league’s best team on Thursday, the Los Angeles Kings hope to continue their winning ways with a win over the defending Stanley Cup champions tomorrow afternoon.

This will be the second and final meeting of the season between the Kings and Bruins. Their first meeting came back on December 13 in Boston where the Kings lost 3-0. That night, they were completely outplayed by a far better Bruins squad. It is important to note, however, that Terry Murray had just been fired by the Kings the previous day and that was interim coach John Stevens’ first game behind the bench. The Bruins were also rolling while the Kings were going through a very difficult few weeks.

The Bruins, despite being 2nd in the East, are 4-6-0 in their last ten and nowhere near the dominant team than they were early in the season. Still, don’t think for a second that Los Angeles won’t take Boston any less seriously because of that. The Kings are 8-2-0 in their last ten but aren’t content on leaving it at that as they just want to keep winning.

This season, the Kings are 7-5-5 against Eastern Conference opponents and look to end things on a high note as they hope to enter the final two weeks of the regular season remaining atop the Pacific standings.

The action starts tomorrow at 1pm PST (4pm EST).

Enjoy the game!
