I know it's only one game but Tyler Toffoli looked very impressive in last night's win over the Coyotes in Phoenix. Along with trevor Lewis and Dustin Penner, Toffoli looked very comfortable out there.

After Shane Doan gave Phoenix the lead halfway through the third period, Toffoli came through on the power play some four minutes later to tie and then, in the final minute of regulation, assisted on Dustin Penner's game-winner.

After a successful junior career with the Ontario Hockey League's Ottawa 67's, the 19-year-old Toffoli moved on to the AHL where he played in one regular season game and five playoff games with the Monarchs.

It's likely that regardless how well Toffoli plays, he will be assigned to Manchester to continue playing for the Monarchs. That's not set in stone, though. Tyler Toffoli could very well be this year's version of Kyle Clifford and crack the Kings' squad. If he doesn't, though, he'll just be a phone call away.

Tyler Toffoli has one game down and now it's back to Los Angeles where the face will play host to the Anaheim Ducks next. Whether Toffoli will suit up or not is still unknown but the way he looked last night, it should be a good sign of things to come.
