Previewing the Los Angeles Kings 2012 Post-Season:

Game 2 @ Vancouver

As big as their Game 1 win was on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Kings know that it’s going to take an extra effort on Friday night should they hope to take a 2-0 series lead. In Game 1, the Kings were on the ball and played the way they needed to play. Of course, the Canucks are expected to come back with a vengeance determined to even up the series.

Jeff Carter and Mike Richards played like they were on a mission in Game 1 as both earned a pair of his assists in the third period, in addition to Richards’ goal earlier in the game.

After firing 39 shots against Vancouver, the Kings showed that they weren’t quite the underdog that so many have made them out to be. They will likely be without Kyle Clifford who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury thanks to taking a vicious hit from behind from Byron Bitz.

Bitz, however, will not be in action tonight or Game 3 as he has been suspended for two games. In addition to that, Daniel Sedin did not skate again and likely will not suit up for Game 2. Aside from Clifford, the Kings won’t be missing anyone but it’s anyone’s guess as to who will replace #13 tonight.

Game 1 was an intense affair and that should continue tonight.

Enjoy the game!
